Fancy a spot of modelling? British womenswear brand launches a nationwide search for real women

British fashion brand Hope is launching a Real Women Model Search, as part of their mission to encourage all women to ‘feel beautifully confident’. Hope has been using real women in its campaigns since its launch in 2015, however this is the first time the brand has announced an official call for models.

The chosen women will have the opportunity to star in Hope’s international fashion campaigns, in a paid collaboration, and will get the chance to see the coveted collection before anyone else.

Launched over the weekend, the competition invites entrants to visit the Hope Real Model landing page via the Hope website, www.hopefashion.co.uk, and submit their details alongside an explanation of why they’d like to be a Hope model. Entrants will also need to upload a photo of themselves and a photo of their favourite piece(s) from the Hope collection. The competition will run until 18th May 2018.

Angela Cahill, a 61-year-old customer who modelled for Hope’s SS18 campaign said: “I was delighted to be involved in Hope’s SS18 campaign! I love that the brand is so mindful about encouraging women to feel confident, and it was amazing to be given the opportunity to represent real women and to be part of a campaign that promotes age, shape and race diversity.”

Founder and CEO Nayna McIntosh added: “Celebrating the diversity of real women and catering for all sizes, age, race and shapes is at the core of the Hope brand which makes our Real Women Model Search so important to us. We’re so excited to see who enters this year, and feel this is a fantastic opportunity to campaign for a wider representation of females across the fashion industry.”

Hope comprises of stylish and wearable clothes in fluid designs, that are created for real body shapes and proportions. The brand uses positive language to talk about sizing, adopting phrases like Super Slim (8), Slim (10-12), Curvy (14-16) and Super Curvy (18-20). Hope also places ethical fashion and its core and is committed to supporting the British Fashion Industry where possible, by ensuring all garments are ethically sourced and manufactured in the UK and Italy.

A unique element of Hope’s offering is The Foundation Collection which is made from exquisitely super soft Italian fabric, and made up of exclusively knitted combinations of 28% Lycra and 72% Polyamide. This fabric provides the wearer support, comfort and freedom of movement. Hope describe their Foundation range as the “perfect starting point” for all of their customers to provide a clean line and silhouette. These layering pieces smooth and sculpt the body and are noted for being extremely comfortable to wear. Customers are encouraged to then use Hope’s knitwear, dresses, jersey and sheer styles over the top to create the perfect style that they will feel confident in.
